The Clay Paky Sharpy is an iconic moving head beam light, renowned worldwide for its incredible brightness, razor-sharp optics, and compact design. Designed for concert touring, live events, festivals, theatre, TV studios, and corporate productions, the Sharpy delivers a powerful, laser-like beam that cuts through even the largest venues.
Powered by a 189W discharge lamp (Platinum 5R or Osram Sirius 190 Plus), the Sharpy produces an astonishing 59,760 lux at 20 metres, a level of output normally associated with fixtures many times its wattage. Its perfectly parallel beam is sharply defined, free from halo effects, and remains tight and punchy over long distances.
With an adjustable beam angle from 0° to 3.8°, interchangeable colour and gobo wheels, and an 8-facet rotating prism, the Sharpy creates dramatic mid-air effects, aerial beams, and striking visual looks. Despite its power, the fixture is small, lightweight (just 19 kg), and easy to rig almost anywhere, making it a favourite for touring and fast-turnaround productions.
Featuring Art-Net and RDM control, fast pan and tilt movement, and high-performance electronics, the Sharpy remains a go-to solution for designers who need maximum impact from a compact, energy-efficient fixture. It is also available in a mirror-finish chrome version for visually striking stage designs.
